New Delhi: India has issued a new advisory for its citizens in Iran, “strongly” urging them to leave the conflict zone immediately.
The Indian Embassy in Tehran posted on X, advising nationals to use specific recommended routes for their departure. It strictly warned against attempting to cross any international land borders without first coordinating with the embassy.
For assistance, citizens can reach the embassy via email at cons.tehran@mea.gov.in or through these emergency numbers: +989128109115, +989128109109, +989128109102, +989932179359.

Following a two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran, the Indian embassy in Iran is facilitating the exit of its nationals, reversing a previous shelter-in-place advisory. The truce follows diplomatic intervention by Pakistan, with negotiations scheduled for April 10 in Islamabad to resolve the conflict that began with US and Israeli strikes on February 28.
